Storm End Season on a High

Surrey Storm Netball ended their season on a high with a successful End of Season Festival and a tournament win in Bournemouth.

End of Season Festival
Around 100 people came to the End of Season Festival Friday (1st June) and enjoyed an evening of fun and games with the Storm stars. Activities including the crazy catch game, a dancing masterclass with the Storm Trooper and a shooting competition were on offer for young and old supporters alike, with the usual music and commentary from Matt our very own Stormentator!

Everyone attending also had the chance to play a game alongside the players, with fans of all ages and abilities taking to the court.

The end of season awards were also presented to the players. The results are as follows:
Coach's Player of the Season: Katy Holland
Player's Player of the Season: Hannah Reid
Fan's Player of the Season: Tamsin Greenway

Photos from the event are available on our Facebook page.

Bournemouth Sevens Festival
Surrey Storm took to the south coast the morning after the end of season event and took part in the Champagne Cup at the Bournemouth Sevens Festival. The event is the largest rugby and netball festival in the world and saw teams from up and down the country take part in various cups and tournaments, with plenty of others enjoying the sport on show and other entertainment provided by the Festival.

Donning Union Jack leggings to fit in with the Jubilee weekend, Storm strolled to victory in the cup final, bringing home a trophy for the cabinet.
