The Surrey Storm Troopers
Surrey Storm’s new urban dance troop the Surrey Storm Troopers were unveiled on Saturday 16th January 2010 at Storm’s first ever home match at Guildford Spectrum.
After holding auditions in November 18 dancers were selected to form the Surrey Storm Troopers.
The Troop is led by Choreographer Jo Read from Essex. Jo teaches Dance across London and Surrey and has performed at events such as Breakin Convention Tour 2007 Resolution! The Place 2007 and Blue Print Stratford Circus 2007.
Surrey Storm were determined that the Surrey Storm Troopers would reflect Storm’s new image and if you are expecting traditional sporting cheerleaders at Storm’s matches then think again! Our new Troop are urban street dancers with style so make sure you arrive in plenty of time before our matches to see the guys in action.
