Surrey Storm shooter and England vice-captain Pamela Cookey has been named one of the capital’s most influential people in the Evening Standard’s annual list.
Cookey features alongside some of London’s most recognisable faces in the sport category of the list, including Olympic champion Mo Farah, F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton and Chelsea FC footballer Eden Hazard.
Pamela’s selection comes after an incredible year for the veteran, having been part of Storm’s first ever Superleague winning side and securing a bronze medal at the 2015 Netball World Cup in Sydney.

The ninth annual edition of The 1000 celebrates “progress makers”, leaders who have shown unrivalled examples of excelling in their fields and also features fellow Surrey Sports Park athletes and England Rugby captains Chris Robshaw and Katy McLean, with the former finish top of the list overall.
