A thrilling encounter at Surrey Sports Park on Monday saw Team Bath take a vital XX-XX win over Surrey Storm.
Neither side could take a clear advantage during the early exchanges, until Naida Hutchinson battled through with a pair of interceptions to allow the hosts to hold a 14-12 lead at the end of the opening quarter.
Katie Harris finished off a turnover to briefly push Storm’s lead to 3 goals but Bath fought back at 24-all. Harris continue to put balls away, allowing Storm to take a 30-25 lead at half time.
Bath cruised out of the blocks in Q3 to quickly tie the game at 32-all. Errors began to cost Storm and the visitors were handed a slender lead, which they held with just the final quarter to play (40-44).
An immediate turnover in Q4 for Bath gave them the confidence to close out the tie and take a vital 49-56 win to really put the pressure on Storm in the race for the top 4.
